Employee Assistance
This is a program entered into, by contract, between
employers and Ottumwa Regional Health Center's Employee
Assistance Program. It is a special benefit to employees
and their dependents who are experiencing hardship or
it is a place that employees can talk about needs without
involving their employer. Their concerns and needs are
handled with respect, professionalism and with complete
confidentiality. The EAP counselors and clinical staff
of therapists are available to you 24 hours a day.
Types of Concerning Issues:
The EAP is a broad-brush program, able to respond
to a wide spectrum of employee concerns. These include,
but are not limited to:
- Marriage, family and/or relationship concerns
- Alcohol and drug abuse
- Legal problems
- Emotional adjustment
- Stress management
- Health, wellness and nutrition guidance
- Retirement or aging parents
- Financial problems
- Smoking
- Coping with a serious loss
- Depression
- Eating disorders
- Gambling
