Cardiac Rehabilitation
This
is a program designed to assist individuals with heart
disease by helping to restore and maintain their highest
level of functioning. We currently have three phases
of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Phase I starts the rehabilitative process during hospitalization
for angina, congestive heart failure and heart attack.
Phase II is done in the outpatient setting and continues
the rehabilitative process after a heart attack, heart
surgery, balloon angioplasty or other heart problems/surgeries.
Phase II provides continuous monitored exercise and
patient and family education classes three days per
week.
Phase III is a long-term maintenance program designed
to build upon progress achieved in Phase II. The program
meets three days per week at the cardiac rehab exercise
facility and is staffed by cardiac rehabilitation personnel.
