Physician
Relations
The Pillar of Physician
Relations provides enduring strength to Ottumwa Regional.
Our goal is to have inter-dependent, mutually rewarding
relationships
with the medical staff based on trust and respect for
one another.
With 86 physicians representing 26 specialties
on our active medical staff, Ottumwa Regional cares
for a wide spectrum of patients in Southeast Iowa. Ottumwa
Regional is a private 501(C)3 organization and is not
supported by county or city tax dollars.
Recruitment and retention of physicians is a high
priority or ORHC. We are proud to work in partnership
with local medical practices to recruit and retain quality
physicians. Our challenge, as a community is to make
these doctors feel welcome and to have existing practices
remain successful. Ottumwa Regional Health Center is
committed to providing state-of-the-art technology for
physicians in order to maximize their skills and expertise.
We are also proud to be a part of those community efforts
that develop the area to be more attractive to newcomers,
as well as an incentive for current residents to stay.
The founding of Bridgefest 2002 was a rousing
success.
The community has embraced the 'destination event' and
Ottumwa Rgional Health Foundation's efforts have been
rewarded with the opportunity to provide AED's (automatic
external defibrulators) to the area's first responders
with proceeds from the Bridgefest Concert.
