Associate Benefits

Ottumwa Regional Health Center offers a comprehensive benefit plan, including matching retirement plan, life and disability insurance, hospital discounts, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, CEU reimbursement, and up to 25 days paid time off during the first year of employment (prorated for part-time).

ORHC is offering a new product called Healthy Choice$ to its associates that combines the insurance feature, along with an organized system to improve and maintain the individual's health.

Paid Time Off

Breaks On Hire Date FT-PT Two fifteen minute breaks per eight hour shift. Hospital
Paid Time System (PTS) Completion of 90 day of continuous service FT-PT Provides you time away from work for rest and relaxation. Accrue up to 25 days during first year with increase in accrual after 5 & 10 years of service. Used for 6 legal holidays, sick days and requested paid time off. PT Associates accrue PTS time on hours paid. Hospital
PTS Buy Back After 1 year FT-PT Offered twice yearly, eligible Associates can buy a portion of their paid time system hours at 100% of their hourly rate. Hospital
Sick Leave Completion of Probationary Period FT FT associates are vested with 20 sick leave days. Paid only for illness/ accident after third day at current rate of pay. Hospital
Bereavement Leave On Hire Date FT-PT Full time-3 days bereavement pay at regular straight timer for immediate family. 1 day bereavement for grandparents, grandchild. Part time-1 day bereavement pay at regular straight rate for immediate family. Hospital
Reserve Military Training On Hire Date FT Associate receives differential pay between hospital base pay & military pay for a maximum of 15 working days per calendar year. Hospital
Jury Service On Hire Date FT-PT Associate may elect to receive either jury pay or hospital pay. Hospital

Shift Differential Pay On Hire Date All Associates Shift differential paid Associates working more than four hours between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Hospital
Week-End Differential On Hire Date All Associates Additional differential for working an unscheduled week-end shift. Hospital
High Volume Incentive On Hire Date All Associates During peak periods, with low staffing, associates can earn an extra $2-4 per hour when working additional shifts. Hospital
