Addison Claire Troyer was welcomed at Ottumwa Regional Health Center as the 2006 New Year's Baby. Addison, daughter of Alison Weber and Grant Troyer of Sigourney arrived at 3:09 p.m., January 1, 2006. She weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. Addison is the granddaughter of Andrew and Gail Weber of Sigourney and Gordon and Deb Troyer of North English.
As the first baby of the new year, she received many gifts donated by local businesses including a $100 Merry Maids gift certificate from Ottumwa Regional Health Center, a Mt. Zion Co. gift basket from the Ottumwa Regional Health Foundation, $100 savings bond from South Ottumwa Savings Bank, a baby swing from Ottumwa Pediatrics at Ottumwa Regional, a $50 Savings Bond from Community 1st Credit Union, a $25 gift card from HyVee Drug Store, a stroller from Pediatric Associates, a flower arrangement from Ed the Florist, a $25 gift certificate and photo package from Lee's Photography, a $20 gift certificate from M&J Art Gallery, a $25 gift card from North HyVee, a $25 gift card from South HyVee, a silver engraved spoon from Engrave All, and new this year a $400 college savings account from College Savings Iowa.
